stayed here for a short break and it was exactly what I needed. The breakfast was delicious with a great selection, and the fish and chips were absolutely amazing. The views are stunning and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing — a perfect place to switch off and recharge. I would definitely return.

Partner booked superior Lake view room for suprise night away on St dwynwens weekend, Room decorated beautifully and he had paid for the package with champagne, balloons, locally made chocolate and truffles. Location, Staff, Service and Dinner absolutely incredible and 10/10. We had Dinner in the evening, unfortunately this time of year it was dark so unable to enjoy the view, but we did have breakfast in the same room and the mist of the lake made it more magical and fairytale like. The only negatives from our stay which has earned 4 instead of 5 stars are: We booked 2 hours for spa before treatments, which needs a time slot. We found it incredibly busy and there were approx 10 people in the spa, but only 'seated' areas for 6 people. 2 padded loungers and 4 of the tepidtarium couches. Which were occupied for the whole 2 hour slot with guests reading books, chatting etc. Although this is somewhere for people to relax and do what they like in that time to do so, it means others are unable to have the same opportunity to do so if occupied the whole time.Even when they weren't in use people had left towels and personal belongings whilst going for a treatment or using the facilities meaning you weren't able to use them even when not in use. It's probably best you get there as soon a possible if you want to relax.and although this isn't the hotel or spas fault as much, it maybe should be taken into consideration with the number of people booked into each slot or maybe have signage that if not in use, to store personal belongings in locker rooms of hang up on the provided hooks so they can be used by others. The hotel is a little outdated, but this adds to the character of the hotel and general experience, and is reflected in the price of rooms per night. There is a lift at the property but this does specify it is for employees or disabled persons only. If you are the latter, it does lead directly to the spa so if you are staying on floors 1 or 2 you'd need to go through the spa,to get to the main hotel/restaurant. This does seem a bit problematic if not booked in or if it's closed but again this is an older builder and to be expected in terms of accessibility, just something to be mindful of when booking as majority of rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floor, especially those with the balconies.

Stayed overnight in one of the lake view rooms. The view was incredible. The room was huge with fabulous period furniture. The bathroom was as big as my kitchen! The only thing that might be improved was the restaurant. I'm not sure if they were short staffed but the service was slow and requests weren't always met. Other than that it was a great stay which we will be repeating.

Booked 2X weekday spa express packages. Fantastic value (£60 each for spa entry, a 25 minute back, neck and shoulder massage and cream tea in the hotel). Location is incredible and the spa was beautiful too. The views from the hotel were also very nice, but the atmosphere was a little off. The lighting is a quite harsh - would be nice if it was more warm. Some nice music in the bar area would also help.

Staff were all welcoming and helpful. The junior suite had an amazing lake view and we were fortunate to get good enough weather to enjoy the view in the afternoon. The evening meal was great and we had a lovely experience. My wife also enjoyed a massage at the spa facility. The grounds and nearby surroundings offered a chance to get a walk out with the dog and we were fortunate with the winter weather. Would recommend and imagine it would be even better in the summer

We visited this hotel for a weekend getaway and absolutely enjoyed our time there. The hotel has a unique charm and is situated in a truly stunning location, right on a slope overlooking the lake. The views are nothing short of spectacular, especially at sunrise and sunset, making it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. The food here is truly excellent – delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavor. Every meal was a pleasure, and the cozy pub offered a great place to enjoy a drink or a casual bite. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making us feel comfortable throughout our stay. While the hotel does show its age in some areas, this only adds to its character and did not detract from our overall experience. The combination of the beautiful setting, outstanding food, and charming atmosphere makes it a place we would happily return to in the future. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend getaway in a scenic location with great food and a welcoming ambiance.

We booked a couples break for my partner's birthday. This was the perfect location. The surroundings were just simply beautiful. The staff at the hotel and spa couldn't of been more helpful and polite. We had dinner in the restaurant and again the service was brilliant, as was the food and cheeky cocktails. The breakfast was also incredible with a great selection and size portions to fuel you up for a day of walking and exploring the beautiful nature in which you are nestlsed. The rooms are a little dated but it seems to fit the hotel and actually adds a little character. The room we booked was overlooking the lake and was just so relaxing to gaze out over with a coffee. The spa was lovely and quiet and again staff couldn't of been any better. After all the walking and exploring there is a pub on the grounds too to gab a drink by the open fire and top off the day. Somewhere we will definitely revisit.

We booked this for a relaxing break for my partner's birthday. The hotel and surroundings are beautiful. The staff in the hotel and spa couldn't of been more helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant on the evening and again staff and quality of food were fantastic. The spa was lovely and quiet to relax for a couple of hours and my partner had a hot stone massage that she said was perfect. The breakfast that we had on the morning was huge, with a continental and full vegetarian breakfast. A great way to fuel for a day of walking. Our room was a lake view room which had amazing views over the lake for a coffee in the morning and evening. The price was also very good and somewhere we will come back to.
